These gray hairs have been earned over time in the trenches growing businesses just like you’ve done. We understand you as a business owner. We’ve run every function in the business and have accumulated some best practices that are universally applicable. We also understand that each industry has its nuances and that one size does not fit all. Our target business profile
Location
We’re currently prioritizing businesses located in the Western United States, including WA, OR, ID, UT, NV, AZ, NM, CO, WY, MT, TX. If you are located elsewhere, but meet our other criteria, please contact us for further discussion.
Industry
There are fewer industries we are not interested in. We are not interested in oil and gas, brick and mortar retail, restaurants, agriculture, entertainment or niche manufacturing. Business to business is our focus.
Ownership
We prefer to work with founders or second generation owners of privately held businesses who control at least 75% interest.
Age
If your business has been around for at least 5 years then you’ve seen some ups and downs and proven product market fit. The older the business, the better.
Economics
We’re ideally looking for businesses generating a minimum 15% EBITDA margin, $1 million in EBITDA, $6 million in revenue and have been cash flow positive for the last 3 years.
Desired outcome
We expect you as the business owner to transition ownership to our new operator for at least 18 months. Financial incentives are part of the deal.
